Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $2,500.00 per month for a 37 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training.

Work Setting: Hairstyling salon or studio

Hair Cutting Techniques: Scissor cutting, Razor cutting, Long hair trimming, Short hair cutting

Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Braiding, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Extensions, Twisting, Relaxing, Pin curling, Roller setting

Hair Colouring Techniques: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Presentations, Streaking/highlights

Related Skills: Analyze hair and scalp conditions and provide basic treatments, Provide advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair

Additional Skills: Book appointments, Shampoo customers’ hair, Perform receptionist duties

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods
