DCT Chambers Trucking Ltd.has 2 positions for a Bulk goods truck driver(53\' Quad axle / cross border) Terms: This is a permanent, full time job Shift work is involved. Salary: will be $20.00 to $22.50 per hour for a 60 hour week. Education: The applicant should have some high school. Experience: is an asset. Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Tractor-trailer B train Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local, Regional Documentation Knowledge: Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel cross-border, Valid driver’s licence Work Location Information: Various locations Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others Other Information: Must hold valid Passport.
