Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be $5,500.00 per month for a 60 hour week.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A).

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer B train

Type of Travel: Short-haul

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Communication Equipment Experience: Trip recorder (on-board computer), Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer
