Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $8.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Children’s Ages: Infant (3 months - 11 months), Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Read to children, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home

Essential Skills: Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: $325.00 will be deducted for room and board (private bedroom and access to bathroom).
