Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $8.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Children’s Ages: Infant (3 months - 11 months)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Sterilize bottles, prepare formulas and change diapers for infants, Shop for food and household supplies, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Tend to emotional well-being of children, Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Staff accommodation provided, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Oral communication, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing

Other Information: $325 per month deducted for room and board.
