Maizis & Miller Consultants(Placement Agent) is looking for Heavy equipment mechanic($100k/yr #1359) Terms: This is a permanent, full time job Shift work is involved. Salary: will be $100,000.00 per year for a 40 hour week. Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training. Experience: at least five years’ experience. Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal Endorsement. Major Work Area: Repair, Overhaul, Maintenance, Service, Recondition Type of Equipment Repair: Heavy construction equipment, Diesel or diesel-electric mining machinery and equipment Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Keep maintenance reports and documentation, Welding experience Security and Safety: Bondable Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation Work Location Information: In shop Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information: Compensation comprised of base wage plus bonus.
