Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 per year for a 50 hour week.
Notes: bonus, gratuities, milage paid, and other benefits.
Also: dental, vision, group insurance, life insurance benefits.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least three years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Food and beverage server trade certification, Safe food handling certificate, Superhost Certificate, Serving It Right Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Type of Bookkeeping and Accounting Experience: Record keeping, Cashiering

Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Cash register, Squirrel, Micros, Point-of-sale system, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Internet browser

Ability to Supervise: 20 people or less

Budgetary Responsibility: $500,001 - $1,500,000

Work Setting: Restaurant, Bar, Banquet hall, Convention centre, Hotel, Lounge, Multi purpose facility, Formal dining room

Specific Skills: Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations, Implement operational procedures, Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, reconciliation and related forms, Control inventory, Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices, Respond to customer complaints, Ensure health and safety regulations are followed, Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, Develop, implement and analyze budgets, Participate in marketing plans and implementation, Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance, Recruit and hire staff, Train staff, Conduct performance reviews, Supervise staff, Cost products and services, Customer service oriented
