Terms: This is a temporary, full time job, which requires working nights and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $13.00 to $16.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Security Guard basic (pre-assignment ) training program certificate, Security Guard Licence, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.

Work Setting: Construction site

Type of Assignments: Fixed post, Foot patrol, Patrol post, Roving patrol

Specific Skills: Enforce regulations of establishments, Maintain order, Use telecommunications (i.e. two-way radio, cell phone, pager), Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures, Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed, Control vehicular and pedestrian traffic, Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism, Write reports

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Own Tools/Equipment: Safety equipment/gear

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: Outdoors

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Urban area
