Terms: This is a permanent, full time job Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $21.90 to $23.00 per hour for a 60 hour week.
Notes: bonus, piece work, and other benefits.
Also: group insurance benefits.

Education: The applicant should have some high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer B train, Dry bulk

Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness

Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise, Owner-operator business skills

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others

Other Information: Drivers needed,Steady work,& Weekend work, Good pay. plus benefits.Lightweight, double shift equipment, 24 hr dispatch.
