Terms: This is a casual, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $15.54 per hour for a 35 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some college.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma, Human Services Diploma, Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate, First Aid Certificate.

Work Setting: Group home, Community or neighbourhood centre, Private home

Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Families, Persons with intellectual disabilities, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities

Specific Skills: Assess client’s relevant skill strengths and development needs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs

Additional Skills: Food preparation

Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, Physically demanding

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home
