Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification.

Major Work Area: Repair, Maintenance, Service

Type of Equipment Repair: Heavy construction equipment

Powered Equipment Repair Specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments, Pumps

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance, Service attachments and working tools

Additional Skills: Instruct apprentices, Keep maintenance reports and documentation

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Medical exam, Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel cross-border, Travel expenses paid by employer

Work Location Information: Various locations, In shop, On-site customer service
