Terms: This is a permanent, full time job

Salary: will be $8.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Red Cross Babysitting course.

Children’s Ages: School age (6 - 12 years)

Work Setting: Employer’s home

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Bathe, dress and feed infants and children, Help children with homework, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents, Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, Take children to and from school and to appointments

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child welfare check

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available

Work Location Information: Work in employer’s/client’s home, Staff accommodation provided, Room and board provided

Essential Skills: Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Continuous learning

Languages: Other than English, the applicant should write French.
