Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training, completed university.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate.

Children’s Ages: Newborn, Infant (3 months - 11 months), Toddler to pre-school (1 - 3 years), Kindergarten age (4 - 5 years)

Experience with Special Needs Children: Person with a disability, Person with an intellectual disability

Work Setting: Day care centre or nursery school

Specific Skills: Supervise and care for children, Prepare infants and children for rest periods, Organize, activities such as games and outings for children, Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Shop for food and household supplies, Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, Tend to emotional well-being of children

Security and Safety: Criminal record check

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use
