Terms: This is a seasonal, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary: will be $20.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Area of Specialization: Agriculture, Horticulture

Type of Product Inspection Experience: Fresh produce, Fruits and vegetables

Type of Technical Experience: Can, package and container inspection, Import and export products, Processing methods, Grading, Sampling, Handling methods, Sanitation and hygiene, Warehouse and storage facilities, Processing facilities, Transportation methods

Geographical Location: British Columbia

Specific Skills: Monitor and detect food contaminants

Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance

Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available, Valid driver’s licence

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, 20/20 vision, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Sitting, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Bending, crouching, kneeling
