Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Salary: will be $14.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Experience: at least five years’ experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Hairstylist Licence.

Work Setting: Hairstyling salon or studio

Hair Cutting Techniques: Scissor cutting, Long hair trimming, Short hair cutting

Hair Styling Techniques: Blow drying, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Extensions, Twisting, Relaxing, Pin curling, Roller setting

Hair Colouring Techniques: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Presentations, Streaking/highlights

Related Skills: Analyze hair and scalp conditions and provide basic treatments, Provide advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair, Clean and style wigs and hair pieces

Barbering Specific Skills: Cut and trim hair, Shave and trim beards and mustaches, Wave, straighten and tint hair

Additional Skills: Shampoo customers’ hair
