Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $17.00 to $22.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: is an asset.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 3 or D).

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)

Type of Travel: Short-haul

Documentation Knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone

Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Plan travel schedules and routes, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance

Additional Skills: Handle inquiries from customers

Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence

Other Information: Looking for a person capable of driving an independent route. MIN. CLASS 3 REQUIRED. PLEASE APPLY IF YOU QUALIFY.
