Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Stone Forming and Finishing Worker Specific Skills: Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions, Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish

Additional Skills: Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced, Check products for quality control

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Computer use

Other Information: Require a general machine operator to run our polishing line. Applicant must have overhead crane experience. Knowledge of Bridge Saw and C&C operation is desirable. Hours 7:30 - 3:30 or 3:30 -12:00
