Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $18.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have completed university.

Experience: two to three years’ experience.

Work Setting: Individual broker, Import and export firm, Commercial transactions brokerage firm, Freight forwarding company

Specific Customs Broker Skills: Prepare and process import and export documents and other forms on behalf of clients, Arrange for payment of duties, taxes, storage and transportation of imported goods, Advise clients on export and import restrictions, Advise clients on tariff systems, Advise clients on insurance requirements and other custom related matters

Specific Ship Broker Skills: Buy and sell cargo space on ships, Negotiate rates and terms, Buy and sell ships and yachts on behalf of clients, Negotiate price of vessels when purchasing or selling, Arrange for insurance coverage for cargo or ships

Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software
