Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, and nights.

Salary: will be $13.00 to $16.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education: The applicant should have some college or technical training, completed college or technical training.

Work Setting: Animal hospital

Type of Pets Groomed: All breeds of dogs, Cats, Dogs (small), Dogs (large)

Pet Grooming Experience: Bathing/shampooing, Anal glands treatment, Ear cleaning, Flea baths, Nail clipping, Teeth cleaning

Animal Care Experience: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.), Hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, etc.

Specific Animal Care Skills: Prepare food and feed animals, Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stall and enclosures, Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals, Monitor and document animal behaviour

Weight Handling: Up to 26 kg (50 lbs)

Additional Skills: Maintain inventory and order supplies, Keep records of animals treated

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding
