Salary: will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant. Education: The applicant should have completed college or technical training. Experience: at least five years’ experience. Credentials required: The applicant should have Gas Fitter Trade Certification, Provincial Gas Fitter Licence, Driver’s License. Major Work Area: Maintenance, Repair, Service Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Industrial, Residential, Mechanical and service company Area of Specialization: Gas leak detection, Connections of piping, ranges, dryers, barbecues and other appliances, Connections of furnaces, boilers, space heaters and forced air heaters, Installation and repair of underground gas mains and distribution pipes Specific Skills: Maintain and service heating units and components, Repair and service gas appliances, Educate clients about safety and maintenance of gas units, Install gas appliances, Start-up and adjust new or repaired equipment, Test and replace defective equipment or components Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Instruct apprentices, Supervise other workers Security and Safety: Bondable, Driver’s validity license check Own Tools/Equipment: Tools Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing Profile: for Universal Heating Ltd.
