Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days.

Salary: will be $13.00 to $15.00 per hour for a 26 hour week.
Notes: milage paid.
Also: medical, dental, group insurance benefits.

Education: The applicant should have completed high school, some college or technical training.

Experience: at least a full year’s experience.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate, Quality Education and Child Care (QECC) Certification, First Aid Certificate.

Type of Work: Provide assistance to special needs children

Work Setting: Kindergarten, Before and after school programs

Experience With Children Who Have Special Needs: Children with behavioural issues

Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills: Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children, Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them, Prepare and serve snacks, Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings

Additional Skills: Assist in maintaining records of children, Assist in housekeeping duties, Leadership skills, Interpersonal skills, Light cleaning duties

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Medical exam

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Non-smoking
